Turn your dashboards into decisions. This course shows consultants how to move beyond charts and tables to create compelling, stakeholder-ready stories in Power BI. You’ll learn how to structure insights, design clear and accessible visuals, and guide busy decision-makers to the “so what?” quickly and confidently. Building on your existing data skills, we’ll explore practical storytelling techniques: from shaping a narrative arc and choosing the right visuals, through to building interactive report flows that support executive conversations, workshops, and board papers. You’ll also learn how to avoid common design pitfalls and apply simple visual standards so your reports are consistent, credible, and easy to use. After 2-3 sessions, you will be able to: - Translate complex analyses into clear, audience-specific stories in Power BI - Design report pages that highlight key messages, not just data - Use bookmarks, drill-through, and tooltips to guide users through a narrative - Apply layout and accessibility principles so your dashboards work for diverse users - Embed data stories into presentations, packs, and client deliverables Recommended prerequisites: - Data and Visualisations for Consultants (or equivalent experience building basic Power BI reports) - Data Analytics for Consultants (or equivalent experience in statistics)
